In honor of the 50th anniversary of the premiere of The Red Detachment of Women, Feng Ying, Director of The National Ballet of China, led 121 personnel of NBC to Hainan, hometown of the program of The Red Detachment of Women, during 7-13 Juanuary, 2014 to stage 6 performances of The Red Detachment of Women and Ballet Gala at Qionghai, Sanya and Sansha.
